GlobalPhone Corp. (Gphone) was started in 1995 and is a privately held, profitable, debt-free corporation. GlobalPhone is a facilities-based carrier headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, DC. We provide services to 100,000 customers in over 50 countries, and maintain a network of business partners around the world. Services include Hosted PBX service, SIP trunk Service, call center solutions, and a variety of long distance phone services such as prepaid and postpaid phone cards, international callback and international toll free numbers. GlobalPhone is licensed by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) as a 214 carrier.
GlobalPhone has enjoyed steady, rapid growth since its founding in 1995, and has recei ved several prestigious awards, including the Deloitte Touche Fast 50, the Washington Technology Fast 50 Award and the Independent Agent Network Circle of Excellence Award.
GlobalPhone operates its own TDM and VoIP-based voice switches from world-class manufacturers such as Broadsoft. We maintain business relationships with many of the world's largest carriers such as Global Crossing, Teleglobe/Tata, Level(3), MCI, Qwest, IBasis, and Verizon to provide its underlying network.GlobalPhone is dedicated to providing high-quality, innovative services to the international telecommunications market. Stephen McCarthy – President
Steve is a principal and co-founder of GlobalPhone. Steve has over 30 years of experience in the systems integration and telecommunications industries. He has worked for TRT Telecommunications, Raytheon Data Systems, Oracle Complex Systems and Federal Data Corporation in operations and new business development prior to founding GlobalPhone. Steve earned a BBA in Finance and an MBA in Information Systems from the George Washington University.
Guy Jazynka – Chief Operating Officer
Guy is a co-founder and principal of GlobalPhone since 1995. He started his career in international trade which led him to the international callback business. Guy identified the need for cost-effective international calling services from first-hand experience while working in the import/export industry for over 10 years. Callback service was the original service provided by GlobalPhone at its inception. Guy earned a BS in Political Science from West Chester University.
Manuela Costescu – IT Director
Manuela graduated from the Technical University of Civil engineering in Bucharest with an MS in Civil Engineering. She has worked in IT for 27 years in positions including programmer, senior programmer analyst, systems programmer, project manager, DBA, business analyst, system architect, IT manager for the Romanian Defense Department and Auto Registry Department. She joined GlobalPhone in 2000 and is responsible for IT management and software development. Manuela is a member of ISACA - Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
Aida Loomis – Director of Customer Service
Aida brings over 15 years of experience in customer and sales support with telecommunications and wireless communications companies to GlobalPhone. Her previous experience includes Frontier Communications, Microwave Data Systems and Adaptive Broadband. Aida holds responsibility for all aspects of order administration, and customer and technical support. Aida received her BA in History from the University of Miami and an MBA in Finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
David Hartig – Director of Finance
Dave joined GlobalPhone in 1998 as Controller. Prior to GlobalPhone, Dave spent 10 years as a general manager in the hospitality industry. Dave received his BBA in Operations Management from the University of Iowa and a BS in Accounting from Strayer University.
